In Ghana’s rural communities, mobility isn’t just about convenience—it’s about access to opportunity, safety, and dignity. ORDA RIDES exists to make sure no one is left behind.
Challenge — Mobility deserts in rural communities
Many communities outside major cities are underserved by public transport and ignored by mainstream ride‑hailing. Informal motorcycle taxis (okada) are essential yet unregulated—leaving riders without training or protections and passengers without reliability or safety guarantees. The result is lost time, lost income, and limited access to markets, schools, and healthcare.
Solution — Built for people, not cars
ORDA RIDES delivers a people‑first network tailored to rural mobility: motorcycle and tricycle ride‑hailing, scheduled delivery, and hyper‑local news—all in one lightweight experience. We partner with okada riders to formalize their work through verification, safety training, transparent pricing, SOS and sharing features, and same‑day payouts—turning essential informal work into safer, dignified jobs.
Potential impact — Access, safety, and livelihoods
As a new startup, our goal is clear: reduce unsafe trips and wasted time; expand access to work, markets, and care; and raise, stabilize, and protect rider incomes with safety‑first standards. Over time, we will measure reduced travel times, higher rider earnings, and improved community connectivity—so rural mobility works for people, not cars.
